David Gauntlett suggests that today, 'we are entering an era where the pleasure of making things is having a resurgence'.
After researching on YouTube, I found many videos which are parodies and/or spoofs of existing films. Some of these films were made many years ago, for example, the first Star Wars was released in 1977. However, since then, the company has produced six more films as part of the franchise. As well as this, the general public who have become large fans of this popular franchise are applying their own creative talents to create products about Star Wars- whether it be for comical or serious purposes, after much research on the Internet, I found many different videos- Spoofs, Parodies, Voice Overs, and more, which have been viewed by thousands, and some MILLIONS of people. So I support Gauntlett's statement- I believe we are entering an era where making things is most definitely having a resurgence.
